The Tahoe Wolfs Den is on 1.8 acres and surrounded by national forest on 3 sides. There is a front deck where you can snuggle with a cup of hot chocolate and watch the snow fall on the mountain. The back deck has a large private hot tub, barbecue, plenty of seating and outdoor speakers where you can listen to your favorite music while relaxing in the hot tub. For the kids and the kids in all of us, there is a log swing, teeter-taughter, tetherball and basketball hoop. The Wolfs Den has beautiful landscaping with grass, aspen and pine trees, numerous species of flowers everywhere.....
The Upper Truckee River is a couple minutes walk where you can fish, hike or jump from rock to rock in the river. Several rushing waterfalls are a short hike from the front door. Numerous trailheads are less than one mile from the house. Whether you choose to hike or mountainbike there are worldclass trailheads such as the Hawley Grade trail (Pony Express used this trail), Christmas Valley trail, Big Meadow trail, Tahoe Rim trail and don't forget Mr Toads Wild Ride.
The Wolfs Den is on a very quiet street but still close to all that Tahoe has to offer. Emerald Bay and the casinoes are about 14 miles away. Heavenly ski resort is 12 miles, Sierra ski resort 9 miles and Kirkwood is 24 miles away. Two fine golf courses are within 5 minutes. Camp Richardson and Pope Beach are 10 miles.
The Living Room- is the best room in the home with its incredable log and river rock gas fireplace that towers 20 ft up to the high vaulted ceilings. This custom built fireplace has so much character with its rustic log mantle and branches extruding from the rock. The warm hearth and bench seating wraps around the fireplace and encourages you to sit next to the fire and warm your hands after a fun afternoon of building snowmen with your kids. Ten foot high picture windows offer you a beautiful view of the ever changing hues on the mountain scenery. For your entertainment there is a television, dvd/vcr, satelite and stereo as well as warm fireplace to snuggle up in front of.
The Gourmet Kitchen- has everything that you would expect in your home away from home. Beautiful hickory flooring and cabnitry with a custom log breakfast bar. With a refridgerator, gas stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, electric can opener, full set of pots and pans, cooking utensils, cutlery and place settings for about twenty, you will find everthing that you need to prepare your families favorite meals. Even dad may find himself wanting to cook breakfast in this comfortable kitchen.
Second Full Kitchen- in the mother-in-law room has a second refridgerator, electric stove and oven, and double sinks. The second refridgerator allows you to stock up with food when you are staying for a while or have a large group of people. The second oven is great when prepairing Thanksgiving supper.
The Dining Room- has hickory flooring, a custom log and river rock breakfast bar that seats two and a large pine table with chairs for eight. The room is open to the kitchen and the living room. Magnifiscent mountain views make it a perfect place to linger over a meal or play a game of cards.
The Master Bedroom- has a beautiful custom log bed with branches making up the foot and headboard. It is appointed with one of a kind unique mountain furniture and wolf pictures. There is a television hooked up to a vcr and a phone. There is a 5 foot by 7 foot picture window looking out at the mountain and forest views. This is a very private retreat for the main couple of the house.
Elk bedroom- a spacious bedroom with a queen sized bed and cozy pine furniture. There are childrens books, a doll house and kids toys nicely displayed on pine shelving. All rooms are nicely appointed with framed wildlife pictures, this room with a majestic elk.
Loft area- nestled between the master bedroom and the elk room is the loft. There is a queen and full bed, open flooring and plenty of books to enjoy.
Downstairs/ first level
Wolf bedroom- has quaint pine furniture with a very comfortable queen sized bed. There are lots of books to curl up to on a cold snowy night. Close up pictures of a magnificent wolf adorns this room.
Bear bedroom-is the smallest of the bedrooms but very comfortable. Nicely appointed with mountain furniture. It has a queen sized bed with a dresser, night stand, and cuddley bear pictures.
Game room/ Mother-in-law room- The game room has a second full kitchen and the third full bathroom. There is a foosball table, television,VCR/DVD player, games, puzzles, a recliner chair and couch that make into a queen sized sofa sleeper. This room is a haven for anyone young, or young at heart. The door can be closed separating the room from the rest of the house, allowing the adults to gather around the fireplace in the living room.
Ther are 3 full bathrooms in the Tahoe Wolfs Den. One bathroom on the second level and two full baths on the first level. All of the bathrooms are finished nicely with pine and mountain accents.
There is a large capacity washer and dryer located inside of the house. We supply enough laundry soap for several loads as well as anti-static sheets for the dryer.

There is no need to shovel snow off of the car in the morning, park out of the elements in the two car garage. Two additional cars can be parked on the spacious driveway with enough room left to pull in and out of the garage. More parking of course is available on the street if necessary.
